Who We Are

Lewisham Community Wellbeing is delivered by several organisations with many years of experience and expertise in providing mental health support to local people.

Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind works alongside people with mental health needs and dementia to improve their quality of life. It has been providing mental health support services in the London Borough of  Lewisham since 2011.

BLG Mind provides personalised information and advice for people recovering from mental health problems, as well as courses and groups, peer support and volunteering opportunities.

Sydenham Garden is a unique wellbeing centre using its gardens, nature reserve and activity rooms to help people in their recovery from mental and physical ill-health in Lewisham.

The charity provides people with an opportunity to take part in groups, activities and clubs. Projects are focused on adult mental health and dementia and include gardening, creative arts, craft and cooking. 

The Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network (LRMN) works to to empower refugees and migrants to thrive, make a positive contribution and integrate into society, and take control of their own lives. 

LRMN supports vulnerable people in regularising their immigration status, improving their housing situation, preventing homelessness, accessing welfare entitlements, gaining employment and improving their mental health and wellbeing.


METRO provides health and wellbeing support services across South East London, with specialist support for members of the LGBTQI community. METRO promotes health and wellbeing through  transformative services to anyone experiencing issues relating to gender, sexuality, diversity or identity.

The NHS South London and Maudsley Foundation Trust provides the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK.

The 4,600 staff serve a local population of 1.3 million people. The Trust has more than 230 services including inpatient wards, outpatient and community services. It provides inpatient care for approximately 5,300 people each year and treats more than 45,000 patients in the community in Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham and Croydon. The Trust provides more than 50 specialist services for children and adults across the UK in addition to running a scientific health research centre.

Lewisham Council provides residents of Lewisham borough with health and social care support should they need help with everyday living. This can be as a result of an illness, a stay in hospital, a disability, or because they are getting older and need some support to carry on living independently.

NHS Lewisham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is made up of 38 local GP surgeries in the London Borough of Lewisham. It is led by NHS GPS who are responsible for planning and buying NHS services aimed at improving health for people in Lewisham.

Lewisham CCG is dedicated to ensuring that local people get the most accessible and effective healthcare services possible.
